Deputy Sheriff

A gold six-point Deputy Sheriff star from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, with "Deputy Sheriff" and "Los Angeles County" on a blue enamel ring and a red Olympic torch flame with "1984" rising from the top point. This is a 3D "pin on pin": the silver California grizzly bear in the center is a separate, raised three-dimensional piece mounted on top of the badge, rather than being stamped flat into it (see close-up photo).
